Year in Industry is an opportunity to spend a year in employment during your studies, and is available to all undergraduate students studying within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The 12 month placement is a credit-bearing (worth 120 credits), assessed part of a 4-year degree programme. This means that your performance on the assessment and completion of the placement will have an impact on your final degree classification, just as a year of taught modules would. If you are interested in getting work experience but don't want to do a year long industry placement.

NOTE: If you wish to go undertake a Year in Industry in your third year of studies, you must complete and pass the Employability Skills Module as well as pass your overall studies.
